Chemical top
clover blossom,
we used to eat them
sweet like a summer day,
like the last day of school,
like the last day —
Rain in a glass
was still rain, water,
we used to drink it
even after we saw that textbook
photo of the burnt up trees
that looked like little white toothpicks —
Acid rain like clear fire
falling from the sky.

about me.
