Speak To Me

Speak to me
Through the silence,
Through the blurring rain.

Speak to me
As though you need
Words, like air, to breathe.

Speak to me
Of things you know, and
Of all you want me to.

Speak to me
And make me whole,
Make me believe in your reality.

Speak to me
When I’m alone, or,
If I’m not, I’ll make it so.

Speak to me
Because yours is the only
Voice that can wake me on
Foggy mornings when
Summer birds cease to sing.
